Our check-in time is between 4 PM and 11 PM. If you arrive before check-in time, we are happy to store your luggage for you in the meantime. If you leave your luggage with us, please make sure to return before 11 PM to pick it up.
Yes. Although our reception desk is closed between 11 PM and 8 AM, guests are able to check out anytime using the check-in tablet on the reception desk.

There is no curfew, but the front door is locked after 11 PM. Guests can enter/exit the building through the side door (code operated).
There is no need to check in/check out if you are staying more than 1 night (unless you have a bed change) and you are welcome to stay in your bedroom during cleaning hours.
To stay in a dormitory, guests must be 15 years of age or older. Anyone of any age can stay in a private room, as long as they are accompanied by someone 15 years of age or older.
We require guests’ credit card information when making a booking. For security purposes, we will not take reservations over the phone. We recommend that you make a booking through our website.
If you booked through an online booking site (Booking.com, Agoda, Hostelworld, etc) pease contact them directly to change your booking.
If you are unable to change your booking through the site you booked with, please feel free to contact us and we will try to assist you.

Yes you can pay by both cash or credit card upon check in. However, please note that credit card information is required to make a booking. For private rooms, payment by credit card is required at the time of reservation.
There is a convenience store directy across the road from UNPLAN Shinjuku and several others within close walking distance. There is a supermarket only a 5-minute walk away.
We do not have a parking lot. You can find paid parking in several locations nearby.
No. Our receptionists assign guests’ beds prior to check in. However, if guests have any requests, they may contact us and tell us in advance. Please note that it is dependent on availability and we cannot guarantee your request.

There is a basic kitchen in the common room with a fridge, microwave, stove, toaster oven, hot water kettle, sink, cutlery and dishware.
We have a wheelchair accessible toilet on the 1st floor and an elevator with access to the 2nd floor and up. The basement is only accessible by stairs. Toilets and showers on the 2nd floor and up are not wheelchair accessible
For guests staying in dormitory rooms, we can exchange your linen for free once every 4 nights. For guests in private rooms, please let a staff member know by 11 AM the day you wish for room cleaning.
There are no lockers for large luggage (ie. suitcases). Guests are welcome to store their bags in our luggage room on the ground floor (only open between 8 AM and 11 PM). There is also a bit of space inside the bed capsules for bags and other belongings.
Each dormitory bed is equipped with a small security box with a lock. Semi-private space also have a locker.
Yes, you can. However, we charge 500 yen per night for luggage stored at our hostel on days that the guest does not stay with us.
Yes. UNPLAN Shinjuku provides free breakfast between 7:30 and 10:30 AM every morning. It includes a variety of breads, boiled eggs, yoghurt and coffee.
There is free wifi throughout the building.
