Check-in/Check-out

Check-in time is from 4 PM. If you arrive before check-in time, we are happy to store your luggage for you in the meantime. If you leave your luggage with us, please make sure to return before 7 PM to pick it up.

Yes. Guests can check out anytime using the check-in tablet on the reception desk.

Yes. You can leave your luggage with us any time after 10 AM on your check in day.

Yes. You can leave your luggage with us until 7 PM on your check out date.

If you are unable to arrive before 7 PM, please let us know in advance by emailing us at fukuoka@fika.tokyo. We will send you self check-in instructions by email.
※Only credit cards are accepted after 7 PM, so please check in during reception hours if you would like to pay with cash.

There is no curfew, but the front door will be locked after 7 PM. Guests can enter/exit the building through the back door (code operated).

There is no need to check in/check out if you are staying more than 1 night (unless you have a bed change) and you are welcome to stay in your bedroom during cleaning hours.

Reservation change and cancellation

To stay in a dormitory, guests must be 15 years of age or older. Anyone of any age can stay in a private room, as long as they are accompanied by someone 15 years of age or older.

We require guests’ credit card information when making a booking. For security purposes, we will not take reservations over the phone. We recommend that you make a booking through our website.

If you booked through an online booking site (Booking.com, Agoda, Hostelworld, etc) please contact them directly to change your booking.
If you are unable to change your booking through the site you booked with, please feel free to contact us and we will try to assist you.

Cancellation policies vary depending on the site you booked through and the room type you have booked. Please consult your booking site’s website for the cancellation policy.

Guests can pay by both cash or credit card between 10 AM and 7 PM. Only credit card payments are accepted after 7 PM.
Please note that credit card information is required to make a booking, regardless of the payment method.
If you have a non-refundable reservation, the room fee will be charged directly to the credit card used when making the reservation.

Direction and attractions

There is one convenience stores within a 1-minute walk from UNPLAN Fukuoka and several others within close walking distance. There are 3 supermarkets within a 10-minute walk.

We do not have a parking lot. You can find paid parking in several locations nearby.

Facilities and amenities

No. Our receptionists assign guests’ beds prior to check-in. However, if guests have any requests, they may contact us and tell us in advance. Please note that it is dependent on availability and we cannot guarantee your request.

Amenities differ depending on room types.

Mixed Dormitory/Female Dormitory/Pod Dormitory: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand/face wash, iron, ironing board, hangers

Private Double Room/Private Twin Room: hangers, coffee set, disposable slippers, bath towels, face towels, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand/face wash

Private Family Room: bath towels, hair dryers, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand/face wash

Japanese-style Private Room: bath towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand/face soap

We do not provide pajamas, so we advise you bring your own.

Towels are available for rent (face towel ¥100, bath towel ¥200). Please note that the towels are not exchanged so if you require a new towel, we ask you to pay the fee again.
Towels in the private rooms are exchanged during cleaning (free of charge).

There is a kitchen in the common lounge with a fridge, microwave, stove, toaster oven, hot water kettle, sink, cutlery and dishware.

We have a wheelchair accessible toilet on the 1st floor and an elevator with access to the 2nd floor and up. Toilets and showers on the 2nd floor and up are not wheelchair accessible.

For guests staying in dormitory rooms, we can exchange your linen for free once every week. For guests in private rooms, please let a staff member know if you wish for room cleaning.
(In both cases, please inform staff by 11 AM if you wish for cleaning)

There are no lockers for large luggage (i.e. suitcases). Guests are welcome to store their bags in our luggage room on the ground floor (only open between 10 AM and 7 PM).

Each dormitory bed is equipped with a small security box with a lock. Private rooms come with safe boxes.

Others

Yes, you can leave your luggage with us if you plan to check in again. However, we charge 400 yen per night for luggage stored at our hostel on days that the guest does not stay with us.

Breakfast is served for an extra fee in our cafe between 8 and 11 AM. You can find the breakfast menu on our Cafe page.
