Our check-in time is between 4 PM and 9 PM. If you arrive before check-in time, we are happy to store your luggage at UNPLAN Village Hakuba 1 for you in the meantime. If you leave your luggage with us, please make sure to return before 9 PM to pick it up.
Yes. Although our reception desk is closed between 9 PM and 8 AM, you can check out anytime by coming to our reception at UNPLAN Village Hakuba 1. You can return your room key to the return box and write your name on the check out list. Please come to Hakuba 1 to check out, even if you are staying in Hakuba 2.
Yes. You can leave your luggage with us any time after 8 AM on your check in day.
Yes. You can leave your luggage with us anytime until 9 PM on your check out date.
If you let us know in advance that you will be arriving at our hostel past 9 PM due to transportation issues, please contact us by phone at 0261-85-4845 or by email at hakuba@unplan.jp. We can send you self check in instructions by email.
There is no curfew. Please use your room key to enter your room at nighttime.
There is no need to check in/check out if you are staying more than 1 night (unless you have a bed change) and you are welcome to stay in your bedroom during cleaning hours.
Guests must be 15 years of age or older to stay in a dorm. Anyone of any age can stay in a private room, as long as they are accompanied by someone 15 years of age or older.
We require guests’ credit card information when making a booking. For security purposes, we will not take reservations over the phone. We recommend that you make a booking through our website.

Yes, you can pay by both cash or credit card upon check in. However, please note that credit card information is required to make a booking. For private rooms, payment by credit card is required at the time of reservation.

There is a souvenir shop next to UNPLAN Village Hakuba 1 that sells food and drinks. There are supermarkets within a 20- to 40-minute drive away.
We have parking lots in front of UNPLAN Village Hakuba 1. It can fit up to 6 cars.There is also a free parking lot 10 minutes away by foot.
No. Our receptionists assign guests’ beds prior to check in. However, if guests have any requests, they may contact us and tell us in advance. Please note that it is dependent on availability and we cannot guarantee your request.

There is a shared kitchen in UNPLAN Village Hakuba 2 with a fridge, microwave, stove, toaster oven, hot water kettle, sink, cutlery and dishware. Guests staying in UNPLAN Village Hakuba 1 are also welcome to use the kitchen.
Unfortunately we are not a barrier-free hostel.
We can exchange your linen for free once every 3 nights. Please let a staff member know by 11 AM the day you wish for room cleaning.
There are no lockers for large luggage (ie. suitcases), so please use the open space inside the rooms to store your luggage. If your luggage does not fit inside the room, please ask our reception staff about storing it in our staff room.
Private Double/Single Room(ensuit) is equipped with a small security box with a lock. For all other guests, you can ask the front to hold valuables for free.

Yes, you can. However, we charge 500 yen per night for luggage stored at our hostel on days that the guest does not stay with us.
